Storm & hail damage roof repair in Dallas–Fort Worth
We inspect free, document every slope, and meet your adjuster on the roof — so you pay your deductible, not the difference.
After the storm
The damage you can't see from the driveway
North Texas is the hardest hail country in America. A single storm can bruise every south-facing slope on your roof and leave the shingles looking fine from the ground. The damage is real, though — fractured mats, knocked-off granules that expose the asphalt to UV, and dented flashing that starts letting water in months later. By the time a ceiling stain appears, the claim window may already be closing.
Signs worth a free inspection
- Hail was reported anywhere near your zip code in the last two years
- Granules collecting in gutters or at downspout splash blocks
- Dented gutters, downspouts, vents, or AC fins (hail hits those too)
- Shingles that look bruised, cracked, or have shiny black spots
- A neighbor's roof is being replaced — the same storm hit yours
How the insurance claim actually works
This is where most homeowners get shortchanged, and where RIDGELINE earns its keep. We document the damage with dated photos of every slope, you file the claim with your carrier, and then we meet the adjuster on the roof. Adjusters move fast and miss slopes; being up there with them means the approved scope reflects what's actually damaged — not a guess from the ladder.
Once the claim is approved, you typically pay only your deductible. Insurance covers the rest, and on most policies that includes code-required upgrades like new decking spacing or ice-and-water membrane. We handle the paperwork from first photo to final invoice.
ACV, RCV, and recoverable depreciation
Your policy pays in two parts. The Actual Cash Value comes first — the depreciated value of the roof. After we complete the work and invoice it, the carrier releases the recoverable depreciation, bringing you up to full Replacement Cost Value. Plenty of homeowners leave that second check on the table because their roofer never invoiced it correctly. We don't.
You pay your deductible. That's the deal a legitimate storm claim should be — and we won't inflate a scope or waive a deductible to pretend otherwise.
Emergency? We tarp tonight.
If a tree is through the roof or water is coming in, call the 24/7 line: (817) 555-0142. We'll tarp and dry-in to stop the damage, then start the claim the next business day.
Common questions
How do I know if my roof has hail damage?
It's often invisible from the ground — bruised shingles, granule loss in gutters, dented vents and flashing. If hail hit your area, get a free inspection. Most policies allow one to two years to file.
Will filing a claim raise my rates?
Hail and wind are weather events, not at-fault claims, and Texas insurers generally can't single you out for a legitimate storm claim. We'll give you an honest read before you file.
What does the process look like?
We inspect and document, you file, we meet the adjuster on the roof. Once approved you typically pay only your deductible — insurance covers the rest, code upgrades included on many policies.
What's ACV vs RCV?
ACV is the depreciated value paid up front; RCV is full replacement cost. The difference — recoverable depreciation — is released after the work is invoiced. We help you recover all of it.
